On July 17th, Guangzhou Automobile AION Thailand Smart Factory officially completed construction and commenced production in Rayong Province, Thailand, marking the global synchronous rollout of the second generation AION V. The event was attended by Thai Minister of Industry, Pimpa Raewat, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Narit Thipsatitrasa, representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Guangzhou Automobile Group Chairman Zeng Qinghong, GAC AION General Manager Gu Huinan, and GAC AION Southeast Asia General Manager Ma Haiyang.Adhering to the concept of "small scale, fast output, and iterative development," GAC AION Thailand Smart Factory swiftly expanded after achieving batch production scale. The factory leverages cutting-edge technologies from the world's only New Energy Vehicle Lighthouse Factory, fully implementing the AION production system to eliminate all waste and achieve ultimate efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality (QCD).As a highly intelligent facility, GAC AION Thailand Smart Factory operates on data-driven principles, integrating big data, AI, IoT, and visual technologies for 100% interconnected data exchange. The factory's intelligent manufacturing algorithms, accumulated from millions of production and sales data points, enable real-time optimization of production schedules, making manufacturing smarter over time.Simultaneously, the factory fully implements the AION global quality assurance system. Through industry-first machine vision combined with AI technology, it achieves comprehensive quality monitoring of all components. Utilizing non-destructive techniques such as ultrasonic testing and 3D visual tracking ensures zero defects and zero faults in products. Moreover, the factory is Thailand's sole integrated energy utilization facility for "PV generation + smart energy storage, ultra-fast charging, and battery secondary utilization" technologies. These initiatives effectively reduce production energy consumption, promoting harmonious coexistence with the environment and realizing sustainable development goals.

With the completion of the Thailand Smart Factory, GAC AION's first global model, the second generation AION V, is launched synchronously worldwide, allowing Thai consumers to experience the latest products and cutting-edge technologies concurrently with global markets. The second generation AION V, built to higher standards, integrates 23 leading technologies including 400V+3C fast charging and Intelligent Driving System, delivering eight core user values such as global connected intelligent driving experience, while meeting global consumer demands for aesthetics, space, comfort, and safety.

As the Thailand Smart Factory commences operations, GAC AION achieves a dual strategy of vehicle exports and localized production. The company not only introduces advanced technologies and products to Thailand but also enhances local new energy vehicle production capacity and industrial ecosystem upgrades through the creation of a "Lighthouse Factory" smart manufacturing system.

The completion of the Thailand factory marks just the beginning. GAC AION will continue to enhance Thailand's charging infrastructure and energy ecosystem, accelerate talent development collaborations, and promote coordinated development along the entire industrial chain. These efforts aim to make Thailand the first Southeast Asian country with an integrated new energy industry chain and accelerate its transformation into a regional hub for electric vehicles. Collaborating with Thailand, GAC AION strives for mutual benefit, industry synergy, and global automotive green transformation, leading China's high-tech automotive systems overseas.
