In 2013, President Xi Jinping proposed the Silk Road Economic Belt initiative in Kazakhstan, marking a significant milestone for regional cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. As a dedicated advocate of this initiative, Dongfeng Motor has continuously deepened its collaboration with Central Asia, paving the way for cultural diversity and mutual prosperity.

From January to May this year, Dongfeng Motor reported a remarkable 71% year-on-year increase in vehicle exports to Central Asia and neighboring countries, reflecting robust growth and promising market potential.

Kazakhstan stands as a pivotal partner in China's Belt and Road Initiative. On July 1st, 2024, Dongfeng Motor celebrated the inauguration of its dealership in Almaty with a ceremony honoring key customers. Highlighting flagship products such as the DONGFENG GX, KL tractor, and KC dump truck, Dongfeng aims to capture a 20% market share in Kazakhstan's commercial vehicle segment over the next three years.

Dongfeng Passenger Cars and VOYAH, attuned to local market dynamics in Central Asia, are tailoring their strategies to meet evolving consumer preferences. VOYAH is expected to complete its strategic deployment in the region by 2026, enhancing product offerings and service quality.

At the recent 8th China-Eurasia Expo, Dongfeng Motor showcased 10 leading models, including the DONGFENG GX tractor, KC dump truck, and VOYAH FREE 318. This exhibition underscored Dongfeng's commitment to international business expansion, receiving positive feedback from attendees like Tajik businessman Muhiddin Saidov, who praised the brands for their style and affordability.

During the expo, Dongfeng secured five bulk order contracts with distributors from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and other countries, totaling over 1,800 units. These agreements underscore the strong trust and partnership between Dongfeng and its global stakeholders.

"The opening of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway enhances Central Asia's role as a key transportation hub," remarked a Dongfeng representative. Leveraging this infrastructure, Dongfeng Motor is poised to expand its market footprint, encompassing both traditional fuel and new energy vehicles. This initiative aligns with the principles of the "Green Silk Road," injecting vitality into bilateral cooperation between China and Central Asia under the Belt and Road framework.
