BYD Vietnam's Chief Operating Officer, Vo Minh Luc, announced today that BYD will introduce three new vehicle models to the Vietnamese market in October this year, with plans to expand its dealership network to 100 locations by 2026.BYD will officially open 13 retail stores in Vietnam this Saturday, marking its entry into the final market in the Asia-Pacific region. Vo Minh Luc stated, "Vietnam is not only the last market that BYD enters in the Asia-Pacific region, but also an important one. BYD will continue to launch three additional models in October."

According to Reuters, BYD currently sells three models in Vietnam: the ATTO 3 (known domestically as the Yuan PLUS), Dolphin, and Seal. Vice Premier of Vietnam met with BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu in May 2023, where Wang expressed intentions to expand manufacturing and investment in Vietnam. He hoped for streamlined local government support to expedite investment approvals and commence electric vehicle manufacturing and assembly projects promptly.
