GAC Aion's sub-brand Hyper announced today that it is adopting a new English name—Hyptec—as part of its brand upgrade. The new name "Hyptec" combines "Hyp" from "Hyper" and "Hyper Car," while "Tec" represents Technology. Hyptec's fresh brand slogan is "Hyper Technology Life."

This change aims to drive Hyptec's internationalization efforts, with plans to launch a series of tech products in the future.

The Hyper brand was first introduced in September 2022, debuting its two-seater Hyper SSR model. By October 9, 2023, Hyper officially launched three different versions of the Hyper SSR, priced at 1.286 million RMB, 1.386 million RMB, and 1.686 million RMB respectively. Deliveries of this model have begun in China.

On August 1, Hyper announced the imminent release of the overseas version of the Hyper SSR, which will soon be rebranded as Hyptec. They also mentioned plans to start deliveries of the overseas Hyper SSR in Southeast Asia later this month.

Hyper plans to showcase the Hyper SSR at the Paris Motor Show in October and aims to expand the model's presence in the Middle East, South America, and Europe in the future. In addition to the Hyper SSR, Hyper intends to introduce the Hyper GT sedan and Hyper HT SUV.
