BYD’s all-electric SUV, the Yuan UP, has officially launched in Colombia. The launch event featured a live performance by the famous Blue Man Group and was attended by nearly 300 guests, who gave high praise to the new vehicle.
The Yuan UP features BYD’s “Dragon Face” design, which has a clean, sleek look with vibrant colors. It is expected to become a popular choice among young drivers in Colombia. The SUV is equipped with BYD’s e-platform 3.0 and CTB battery-integrated technology, enhancing both safety and efficiency while offering the most space in its class. It has a range of up to 380 kilometers (NEDC) on a single charge.
Wang Zhiwei, BYD’s Sales Manager for the Colombian market, said, “BYD is committed to advancing Colombia’s electric vehicle market with cutting-edge technology. The Yuan UP blends stylish design, advanced technology, and eco-friendly concepts, making it an ideal choice for young consumers and helping Colombia move towards a greener future.”
Since 2020, BYD has been working with Colombian dealer Motorysa to offer new energy vehicles and expand its sales network. BYD’s electric vehicles are now available in cities like Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, and Pereira, with over 10 stores, making BYD one of the leading brands in Colombia’s electric vehicle market.
