Dongfeng recently introduced the DONGFENG MAGE GCC Edition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is the first time the MAGE model has been presented in the Middle East, marking a new phase in Dongfeng's market expansion in the region. The new vehicle targets young, fashionable consumers and has generated significant attention, with over 200,000 views on traditional media and more than 3.53 million on social media. From September to October, Dongfeng's partners in Saudi Arabia will continue to showcase the MAGE in cities like Riyadh, Dammam, and Abha, and offer test drives to boost market interest.

Since the beginning of 2024, Dongfeng's partners in Saudi Arabia have seen strong performance, with sales increasing for six consecutive months and a monthly growth rate of 18%. The average monthly sales are now close to 300 vehicles. With the launch of the MAGE, Dongfeng's overall sales in Saudi Arabia are expected to grow by over 300% this year.

Right-Hand Drive DONGFENG BOX Unveiled in Nepal

Dongfeng also launched the right-hand drive DONGFENG BOX in Kathmandu, Nepal. The model was showcased for a week at the Nepal Auto Show. This debut marks Dongfeng's entry into the right-hand drive market overseas. Nepal, known for having the highest electric vehicle (EV) penetration rate in Asia, welcomed the DONGFENG BOX with its sleek design, frameless doors, and advanced L2-level autonomous driving technology. The company expects to secure around 500 orders this year.

Additionally, Dongfeng and its partner PEKEMA organized a media preview event in Malaysia, giving local automotive journalists a first look at the DONGFENG BOX, which is set to officially launch in the fourth quarter. 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. As a key strategic market for Dongfeng, Malaysia offers significant potential for growth. In light of this, Dongfeng aims to support the nation’s transition to electric vehicles by introducing more right-hand drive EV models in the future.
