On December 1st, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, visited the Jakarta Auto Show and made a special stop at the Wuling booth. He was warmly received by Tang Wensheng, General Manager of Wuling Indonesia, along with the company’s management team.Minister Airlangga praised Wuling’s remarkable growth in Indonesia, especially its efforts in advancing the country’s transition to electric vehicles (EVs). He shared that during a recent visit by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Chairman Lan Tianli, he highlighted Wuling’s outstanding achievements in Indonesia.

During his tour of the Wuling booth, Minister Airlangga emphasized that the Wuling display was the one he most looked forward to seeing at the show. While visiting the exhibition area showcasing Wuling’s battery and motor technology, he pointed out Indonesia’s frequent rainy seasons and the flooding issues in Jakarta. He commended Wuling’s battery technology for its excellent waterproofing, stating that it stands out as the best among all EV brands in Indonesia. He assured users that there’s no need to worry about water damage to Wuling’s batteries.

Minister Airlangga further praised Wuling’s advanced “three-electric” technology (battery, electric motor, and control system), robust product quality, and market-proven battery protection. He called Wuling the standout brand of this year’s auto show.

Tang Wensheng, General Manager of Wuling Indonesia, expressed gratitude for the Indonesian government’s long-standing support for the company. He reaffirmed Wuling’s commitment to its EV strategy and its dedication to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia.

Minister Airlangga has followed Wuling’s progress in Indonesia closely. From the rollout of Wuling’s first Air EV to the launch of the Wuling Alvez, he has visited Wuling Indonesia several times, personally test-driving their EV models and offering high praise. He expressed his hope that Wuling will continue to deliver more high-quality EVs to Indonesian consumers.
