In January 2025, Changan Auto's exports surged over eightfold compared to the previous month, setting a new record and placing the company among China's top three auto exporters for the first time. The Changan CS55 PLUS and CS35 PLUS played key roles in this growth, with their export numbers doubling. Notably, the CS55 PLUS saw nearly an eightfold increase, ranking among the top five exported models. This success is driven by Changan's ongoing "Hai Na Bai Chuan" global expansion strategy.
Since launching the "Hai Na Bai Chuan" plan in April 2023, Changan Auto has rapidly advanced its international presence. In November 2023, the company held a brand launch event in Southeast Asia, marking its official entry into the region. In July and August 2024, it expanded further with brand launches in Latin America and the Middle East & Africa. In September 2024, Changan established a subsidiary in Germany, reinforcing its European market footprint. These strategic moves have fueled continuous export growth, with total overseas sales reaching 536,196 units in 2024, up 49.6% year-over-year. In January 2025 alone, overseas sales hit 62,016 units, a 10% increase from the previous year.
Looking ahead, Changan Auto remains committed to long-term and localized strategies. The company plans to enter the European market, competing in one of the world's most demanding automotive industries. It will also accelerate overseas factory operations to enhance local production and supply efficiency. Additionally, Changan is preparing to launch its pickup truck models globally, expanding its product lineup to meet diverse market needs. These initiatives will further accelerate Changan's global expansion and strengthen its position in the international automotive industry.
